School Learning Plan and Well-Being Plan

Measures of Student Achievement and Success

Our staff has been engaged in professional learning and school improvement planning. This is a process through which schools set goals for improvement, and make decisions about how and when these goals will be achieved. The ultimate objective of the process is to improve student achievement levels by enhancing the way curriculum is delivered and by creating a positive environment for learning. All schools in the district develop a “School Learning Plan”. This plan focuses on the area of greatest need for students with respect to student achievement. This area, identified through various forms of data such as EQAO, report cards, teacher observation and classwork, then becomes the area of greatest focus for staff. This year’s learning plan will focus on building our students’ numeracy skills across the curriculum. We look forward to sharing more information about the SLPS learning plan with you in the coming months.
